William N. Holmes

William (Bill) Holmes has approximately 30 years of experience in public accounting and private industry. He began his career in Portland, OR at an international “Big-4” public accounting firm and was a corporate controller and principal accounting officer for a publicly traded international manufacturing and technology company. His primary industry experiences include manufacturing and distribution, software and technology, airlines and helicopters, agriculture and nurseries, food processing, professional services, construction, real estate and development, homeowner associations (HOA), assisted living facilities (ALF) and tenants in common (TIC), retail, publishing, and music and entertainment.

Significant experiences and projects include all aspects of internal and external financial and public reporting, litigation support and forensic accounting, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, corporate and individual tax planning, bank and corporate finance, and investor relations. He has worked with start-up, rapidly growing and troubled companies, organizational management restructuring, initial and secondary public offerings, private placements of debt and equity, ESOPs, and corporate ownership transition, including family-owned business planning.

Mr. Holmes served 5 years on the Oregon Board of Accountancy Complaints Committee (BOACC), authors articles on the “standard of care” for accountants, and is an invited speaker at national litigation conferences involving accounting malpractice topics. He is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Valuation Analysts, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Defense Resource Institute (DRI). He has served on multiple non-profit boards, and is an active member of his church. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University where he graduated with honors.
